How to Fight the Rising Cost of Gasoline Prices and How to Reduce Gas Consumption
According to Wikipedia, in economics, consumerism refers to economic policies placing emphasis on consumption. In an abstract sense, it is the belief that the free choice of consumers should dictate the economic structure of a society (cf. Producerism, especially in the British sense of the term). Notice again the statement: “…it is the belief that the free choice of consumers should dictate the economic structure of a society”. It is truly our free choice of consuming mass quantities of gasoline and that has dictated to us what we will be willing to pay for it.
The big oil companies are just that: companies. As with any company, to stay in business, it needs consumers of its products. That is where we come in. We simply do not have to give them our hard earned money unless we want to, at least not totally. (Communities such as the Amish probably wonder what all the anger is about!).
So what is the solution to Reduce Gasoline Consumption and Fight Rising Gas Prices?
Adopt the way of life of such groups as the Amish. Ok, now since 99% of us will not do this then we must look for other “best” ways for us.
