How to Fight the Rising Cost of Gasoline Prices and How to Reduce Gas Consumption
According to Wikipedia, in economics, consumerism refers to economic policies placing emphasis on consumption. In an abstract sense, it is the belief that the free choice of consumers should dictate the economic structure of a society (cf. Producerism, especially in the British sense of the term). [Citation needed]
Notice again the statement: “…it is the belief that the free choice of consumers should dictate the economic structure of a society”. It is truly our free choice of consuming mass quantities of gasoline and that has dictated to us what we will be willing to pay for it.
The big oil companies are just that: companies. As with any company, to stay in business, it needs consumers of its products. That is where we come in. We simply do not have to give them our hard earned money unless we want to, at least not totally. (Communities such as the Amish probably wonder what all the anger is about!).
So what is the solution to Reduce Gasoline Consumption and Fight Rising Gas Prices?
Adopt the way of life of such groups as the Amish. Ok, now since 99% of us will not do this then we must look for other “best” ways for us.

Now there is an issue with 2.5.1 where if a member looses their password and click the ‘Forgotten Password’ link, the link in the email states “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid.”
Download the ZIP file with those two changed files here:
Please Login or Register to see the link.
Unzip it using WinZIP or something, then upload those two changed files to your site.
Now try the forgotten password thing. It should work and not have those weird characters in it. Note that they will have to generate a new email and such through the forgotten password link, this won’t make those old emails magically work.
Edit: Actually, looking closer at the code, I see that it won’t regenerate the key if one is already there. You’ll need to clear the user_activation_key data or force it to regenerate those.

More and more often, accessing the Internet becomes limited by the presence of censoring tools and methods (and I am not speaking of those countries where this has been institutionalized like China, Iran or Tunisia). It may be to avoid your spending too much time idling instead of working or it may be to ensure that you do not access to “questionable material”. But the Internet is highly flexible in nature and there may be good solutions to avoid this censorship.

If all else fails, why not install your own proxy. In most cases, you can install one wherever you like and it will be known by you only. this way, you have a personnal anti-censorship tool that you can move any time you want. Several proxy servers written in PHP can be used for this:
2 - Use TOR
Please Login or Register to see the link. is a distributed network of proxy servers. You connect to it, your request will go to TOR and be transfered to one or more of the TOR machines. You can even participate easily to the TOR network (bringing your own PC into the network, not merely using it - it improves the quality of your searches).

Main problems:
- Some web sites (e.g. SlashDot) block all TOR-enabled IP addresses because they have been used to abuse them.
- Installing a TOR node is more complex, but very efficient.
